Boccia

Overview

Boccia is a Paralympic sport based on bocce ball with several modifications. It's played indoors, using soft throwing or rolling balls on a fixed-size court. There are several physical classifications for boccia, with several that are specific to disorders such as cerebral palsy.

Participants can throw balls however is necessary to propel the ball and certain divisions use ramps for propelling balls in addition to assistants for positioning of ramps.

WASA is excited to add this program to our roster of sports and we will keep this page updated when we resume practices.
